Push + Pull

PUSH + PULL

IN COLLABORATION WITH BALLET BC

Experience our F/W ’19 collection that explores a modern expression of art through movement, form and physique.

In collaboration with Ballet BC, we introduce our F/W ‘19 collection brought to life by an expressive dance intended to evoke human connection and emotion. Through slow turns, striking moves and synchronized pauses, the dancers of Ballet BC take us on a journey of push and pull as they move in our signature styles with a one of a kind choreographed piece.

Like the beat and tempo of the song, our pieces take variating forms with the combined paces of Adagio, slow, continuous movements and Allegro, fast, vigorous movements. From textures, fabrics and tones, our pieces of distinct cuts, drapes and silhouettes are emphasized by the rhythm of each step, turn, kick and gesture. This editorial captures the beauty and functionality of each silhouette in motion.

Accentuated by swift and recessed movements, our womenswear pieces come to life in this editorial. Our classic knitwear, languid A-line silhouettes and coordinated suits are updated with sharp accordion pleats, high lustrous finishes, unconventional cut-out and twist-front details for a modern edge.

Our menswear pieces focus on simplicity and are made in relaxed cuts and classic designs to easily move in. Layer in our essentials of cotton-twill shirts, rib-knit turtlenecks and pressed trousers to wear for any occasion this season.

The shades of our collections are derived from earth tones combined with cool neutrals. Dress tonally and layer in monochrome shades of rich olive, muted mauve, cool taupe, harvest gold, dark teal and light oatmeal.

Ballet BC was founded in 1986 and continues to be an internationally recognized dance company in Canada. This 2019/20 season brings Program 1 ‘BUSK’ choreographed by Aszure Barton from October 31st to November 2nd. Take part of this incredible experience of pure movement and human connection. Visit their site to purchase tickets now here.
